Badge Personalisation is the section of the platform where you will design your badge / label personalisation.
The Badge Personalisation section will only become available after completing the Registration Wizard.
To access the Badge Personalisation option:
1. On the side navigation menu, expand the Badging & Check-In section
2. Click on Badge Personalisation
Here you can create a new design template for your badges or labels, or see a list of badge personalisation templates that you have previously created.
To start creating your first Badge Design:
1. Click on the Add New Template button in the Quick Actions section of the page.
This will bring you to the top of the badge designer page where you can define several parameters
2. Define a name for your template
3. Choose an attendee type your design would apply to (you can choose 'All Attendee Types' if you want it to apply to apply to all attendees)
4. Depending on whether you have selected single or double sided personalisation in the Registration Wizard, you would have the option to rotate the front and/or back of your design
5. Your previous selections from the Registration Wizard will be displayed under “Badge Personalisation Settings”.
6. In case you would like to change your previously selected settings under the Registration Wizard, please click on the “Change Badge Personalisation Selection” button.
7. Design your badges / labels using the available dynamic fields - please refer to the next section.
Badge Design
To design your template, start adding the desired user fields available on the left hand side of the page to the Preview area. Any previously created custom fields will also be available here for your selection.
Available Fields
The following field types will be available for badge personalisation:
Default Text Fields - those include all default attendee data fields available in the system - First Name, Last Name, Full Name, Job Title and Company.
Custom Field (Text) - those include all previously created custom data fields available for the specific event.
Text - a static text field.
Image - a static image file.
QR Code badge scanning - a QR Code (unique for each attendee), automatically generated by the Noodle system and encoded with contact data. This QR Code option is used to print on attendee badges when the Noodle Live Scanning Application is utilised for Lead Capture and Session Scanning purposes.
Custom Field (QR Code) - a unique QR Code for each attendee auto-generated based on a custom field.
1. To add a field to your template, simply click once on the type of field in the list found on the left hand side of the screen and one such field will be automatically added to the Preview section on the right.
2. Double-click on a field once it has appeared in the preview section to open the available formatting and advanced settings.
For Custom Text Fields, please make sure to select the custom field you would like to use.
For Image Fields, please make sure to upload the image file you would like to use.
For Custom QR Code Fields, please make sure to select the custom field based on which the QR Code will be generated.
Text Fields Settings
The following settings will be available for all text fields:
Color - if enabled by your selection in the Registration Wizard, you would be able to define a colour for the text of a specific field.
Text Formatting - Bold, Italic or Underline
Text Font - select the font you would like to use
Font Size - select the font size you would like to use
Text Alignment - select the preferred alignment of the text field
Wrap Text - when enabled, longer text will be auto-split in multiple lines
Auto-Scale Text - the font size of the text will automatically adjust so that the text fits into the field box on a single line
You can also remove a field from the template by clicking the red "Delete" button.
Image Settings
1. Click on the image field to add it to the Preview area
2. Double-click on the image field
The following settings will be available:
Resize or Rotate the image by dragging one of the available resize points
Upload a file - click the option and select an image file from your computer to upload to the template
Delete field - click the button in case you would like to remove the image field
QR Code Settings
When you add a QR code, the following settings will be available:
Resize or Rotate the QR Code by dragging one of the available resize points
Generate from Custom Field - you can generate the code from a custom field that you have previously created. For the purpose, select the correct custom field in the dropdown menu.
Delete field - click the button in case you would like to remove the QR Code
Preview
In the Preview area you can switch to the Front or Back side of the badge / label template by clicking the respective button. The gridlines on both views are enabled by default. To disable them, just tap the “Grid Lines” button available below the Preview section.
Once you have finalized your template, please click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
To preview the template, please click the “Preview Template” button at the bottom of the page.
This will download a PDF file with your badge template with the an actual preview of attendee print data.
All newly created templates will now be available on the Badge Personalisation home page, under the Badge Template Library.
The following options will be available for each created template.
